Echelon Multisport
was founded by former
professional triathlete
Ryan Rau.

He is passionate about
encouraging, guiding, and
inspiring others through
endurance sports.

Ryan began a career in personal training upon graduating from Alma College with a degree in Exercise and Health Science. He also started professionally competing, including qualifying for the Boston Marathon and winning an Ultramarathon. Ryan competed as a self-coached age group athlete, qualifying for world championships in Ironman 70.3, ITU Triathlon, and Powerman Duathlon.

After 7 years of competing as an amateur and working full time, Ryan earned his pro card by placing 6th over-all non-professional. He continued to self-coach and work while racing professionally for 7 years. As a professional, Ryan qualified for Ironman 70.3 world championship, Powerman Duathlon world championship, with top ten finishes in distances from Sprint to IronMan.

When his first child came along, Ryan took a step back from professional competitions to focus on coaching. His coaching is data driven that takes the guesswork out of your expectations. It is simple enough that you can train effectively without overthinking.

Ryan’s goal is to help others experience the joy and camaraderie that comes from being part of the endurance sport community.
We look forward to hearing your story and how we can be a part of it.
